Dove Creek Recording is a studio of musicians for musicians.
As musicians / engineers / producers our focus is promoting artistic development and musical quality in a creative, friendly enviornment, using superb gear with a broad palate of artistic, musical and engineering experience.
The studio is located on a beautiful, quiet acreage in a rural area of the Comox Valley, 10 minutes from downtown Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada on beautiful Vancouver Island. Originally designed as a private recording studio for Mary Murphy and Paul Keim, over the years Dove Creek Recording Studio has grown into a 4 room facility with a comfortable, professional feeling.
We are equipped with a large selection of vintage and contemporary microphones and analogue outboard gear, an excellent monitoring chain / listening environment and Protools 12.4 HDX recording software / hardware. The studio also has an extensive collection of vintage instruments, most of which are available to play.
The tracking rooms have wonderful distinct sonic signatures and great visual connection. This combined with the size of the facility, and our ability to simultaneously record 24 tracks through a great selection of mic pres and outboard gear provide an the ideal environment for bands to record ‘live off the floor’.
Would you enjoy seeing inside the studio? This video, filmed in January 2014 by Fine Tippery Productions will give you a a peek inside.
